WHERE DO YOU LIVE AND WORK?
I live in the beautiful city Trier; near Luxembourg, France and Belgium, but I love to work abroad.
TELL ME ABOUT YOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC STYLE.
My style can be described as a mix of reportage and cinematic, street photography. During the ceremony and the reception I document the most important moments of marriage with discretion: I do not impose any artifacts, but I try to make everything as natural and spontaneous as possible. My first love is cienematic, so I love to pay special attention to the couple’s portrait session. During this session I give some directions and advices to the couple, to make the approach with the camera easier and more profitable. I like to create a personal feeling with the bride and the groom, to make them feel comfortable and free to let their emotions flow. My photography is certainly the LIGHT; I love the natural one, and I like to play with light/shadow contrasts. I preferably shoot outdoors (if possible), taking advantage of what the location offers me, in terms of landscape, light and elements of composition.
DO YOU PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL/OPTIONAL PHOTO SERVICE?
In addition to the photographic service and the wedding book, I also provide Engagement sessions (Pre-wedding), Day After sessions (post-wedding), Elopements (exchange of vows), Rehearsal/Welcome Dinner sessions and “Trash the dress“. If you have any other requests, I will be happy to please you.
WHAT KIND OF CAMERAS DO YOU USE?
For the photos I use Sony Full Frame cameras, with the best professional prime lenses (35mm, 45mm and 85mm) always updated and constantly revised. I try to avoid the use of flash, unless it is absolutely necessary.
HOW CAN WE BOOK A SERVICE?
I always prefer (where possible) to personally meet the bride and groom before the wedding to discuss the details in private and show my recent work. If difficult, I am also available for skype-call and video calls (and, of course, the usual telephone and email).
WHEN DO WE NEED TO CONTACT YOU?
If you plan to get married in the most popular dates of the season program (the entire month of June, first week of July and first two weeks of September), I recommend you to contact me at least 10-12 months before the wedding. Clearly, I always give priority to the request that is confirmed first, intending to “confirm” the signing of the contract and payment of the deposit.
HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL YOU TAKE?
The number of photos delivered may vary… from 300 up to 1000 files, depending on the packages. This selection, which will be delivered within 90 days after the wedding, can also be shared by the couple with friends and family, givin’ them the private link and password. All the photos are delivered in jpeg format, at the highest resolution and small resolution for social media etc.
If spouses prefer another format (such as raw or tiff) I ask a payment of 500,00 € more.
HOW LONG WILL YOU STAY?
I am available throughout the day, from the preparation of the couple cutting the cake and any subsequent party. The timetables included in the various packages, can always be extended by paying extra for each hour more.
HOW ARE CALCULATED TRAVEL COSTS?
Travel expenses will not be charged if the places of the photoshooting fall within 50 km from Trier. Beyond that distance they are calculated according to ACI tables and added as an extra charge. Also, where necessary, you may be charged the cost of your stay and renting a vehicle for on-site transfers. In general, I always try to find the cheapest solution, to weigh as less as possible on the pockets of customers. AND WHAT ABOUT YOUR MEALS?
In the case of marriages exceeding six hours duration, I will clearly need to refresh myself and take a short break while the bride and groom and the guests are grappling with lunch or wedding dinner. Although I always try to be equipped, the availability of water or other fresh rim points, especially on hot summer days, it’s much appreciated. I don’t claim to have a reserved seat at the table with the same menu of the guests (although when it happens it is very appreciated), a reduced menu for the insiders and a convenient location to rest a moment and put down the equipment is enough. Otherwise, I shall go away from the event for the time necessary to find a meal elsewhere (about 1-1,5 hour) and I will charge a small fee to cover expenses.
DO YOU TAKE EVEN GROUP PHOTOS?
Certainly, if the spouses agree, I realize the classic group photos, but I also take unconventional group photos.
HOW LONG WILL TAKE FOR DELIVERY?
Within 90 days from the event I will upload a private on-line gallery (accessible with dedicated password) that will contain a selection of the best photos of the day, already accurately post-produced. Also, within 120 from the event, I will deliver ALL the photos in digital format (j.peg), through a on-line platform. The timing of the album’s delivery (if you want one) depends a lot on the speed of the newlyweds in the approval of the selection and the layout of the album, but if everything goes smoothly within 5-6 months you will have your album.
WHAT ABOUT THE POST-PRODUCTION AND PHOTO’ RETOUCHING?
All the photos I deliver are post-produced individually with the utmost care, in terms of exposure, contrast and colors. Any extra purely aesthetic corrections (photoshop etc) are carried out on request and paying a little fee.
